Karen Bujulu Speaks Her Truth After Juma Jux’s Wedding
Karen Bujulu, the former partner of Tanzanian artist Juma Jux, has broken her silence following the singer’s recent marriage to Priscilla Ojo, daughter of Nollywood star Iyabo Ojo.
Their cross-border wedding celebration, which took place in both Tanzania and Nigeria, had social media buzzing with glitzy pictures and well wishes. But along with the happy moments came renewed attention on Juma’s past, especially his relationship with Bujulu.
Taking to her Instagram page, Karen decided it was time to clear the air. According to her, despite the online noise and lingering assumptions, she was not unfaithful during the relationship — she was the one who was betrayed.
“I didn’t cheat,” she wrote. “I was the one who got cheated on. I stayed longer than I should have. I forgave more times than I could count… and eventually, I walked away.”
Karen shared that she had remained quiet for a long time, choosing not to defend herself online. Yet, she noticed that many still tried to link her every move or post to her ex.
“I didn’t speak because I didn’t feel the need to explain myself to the internet,” she continued. “But somehow, everything I share gets twisted into something about him.”
She ended her message with a firm note of closure: “Let me be clear: I’ve moved on. I’ve healed. I’m not looking back, not at him, not at us.”
