PSG March into Champions League Final After Beating Arsenal in Paris
Paris Saint-Germain are headed to the Champions League final after a confident 2–1 win over Arsenal in the second leg of their semi-final clash at Parc des Princes. The result sealed a 3–1 aggregate victory and sparked celebrations across the French capital.
Coming into the match with a slim 1–0 lead from the first leg in London, PSG wasted no time showing they meant business. Just before the half-hour mark, Fabián Ruiz opened the scoring, giving the home fans something to cheer about and doubling their overall advantage.
Arsenal, who had held their own defensively in the first leg, struggled to keep up with PSG’s intensity this time around. Things got worse in the 72nd minute when Achraf Hakimi sliced in from the wing and buried a clean finish to make it 2–0 on the night.
The Gunners responded almost immediately, with Bukayo Saka firing home just four minutes later. But despite that glimpse of hope, the visitors couldn’t find another breakthrough. PSG remained composed, closed out the match, and kept Arsenal at bay.
Now, all eyes turn to the final. PSG will face Inter Milan in what promises to be an electric showdown in Munich on May 31 at the Allianz Arena.
For Luis Enrique and his squad, it’s another step toward their ultimate goal—bringing home a Champions League trophy that has long eluded them. As for Arsenal, it’s a tough end to a strong European campaign and another season where silverware slips away.
