Quavious Keyate Marshall, better known as Quavo, is an American rapper who has released a new song in memory of his late nephew and fellow Migo, Takeoff.
Takeoff was assassinated in November in Houston, Texas.
According to CNN, the lyrics of the song express Quavo’s grief over the loss of his partner, nephew, and close friend.
“Days aren’t the same without you,” Quavo raps. I’m not sure I’m the same without you.
“I can’t tell you how many times I cried, tears rolling down my eyes.”
The sad soundtrack to the song plays as Quavo sits in a chair and smokes in what appears to be a studio.
Takeoff, a member of the Atlanta-based rap group Migos, was shot dead outside a Houston bowling alley where he and groupmate Quavo were attending a private party early Tuesday, according to the artist’s attorney.
