Rapper Medikal recently took to Twitter to announce his separation from actress and entrepreneur Fella Makafui, sharing that they have parted ways as husband and wife.
In his tweet on Saturday, March 30, Medikal clarified their current status, stating that Fella Makafui is now the mother of his child. They are currently engaged in co-parenting their daughter, Island Frimpong.
Medikal’s tweet was prompted by a social media post referring to Fella Makafui as his wife. In response, he clarified their relationship status, emphasizing that they have transitioned into a co-parenting arrangement.
He tweeted, “Fella is no longer my wife; she is the mother of my child. We are now co-parenting, and everything is going well.”
The recent announcement has sparked quite a buzz on social media, leaving fans surprised by the couple’s separation.
Although rumors of their split surfaced last year, neither Medikal nor Fella Makafui confirmed it publicly at that time.
Interestingly, observers noted that Medikal and Fella Makafui have unfollowed each other on Instagram. Additionally, Fella Makafui has made changes to her Instagram username, removing the title “Mrs. Frimpong.”
Adding to the drama, Medikal’s latest social media update suggests that he’s been blocked by Fella Makafui.
In a prior statement, Medikal hinted at the potential for divorce, expressing doubts about the compatibility of marriage with his creative lifestyle. He stressed that he had given his all in the relationship.
Their extravagant wedding in 2020 was followed by the arrival of their daughter, Island Frimpong, who will be turning four this August.
