UEFA has unveiled the 2023-2024 UEFA Champions League Team of the Season after Real Madrid clinched their record-extending 15th title. The Spanish giants triumphed over Borussia Dortmund with a 2-0 victory at Wembley Stadium on June 1, leading to four of their players being named in the season’s best XI.
Real Madrid’s stars on the list include Dani Carvajal, Antonio Rudiger, Vinicius Jr., and Jude Bellingham. Carvajal and Vinicius were the heroes in the final, each scoring a goal. Bellingham set up the second goal, and Rudiger delivered a solid defensive performance.
Borussia Dortmund, the tournament’s runners-up, also had four players featured in the lineup. Despite high expectations, notable absentees from the team include Kylian Mbappe of Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City’s Erling Haaland, both strong contenders for the 2024 Ballon d’Or.
Phil Foden is the sole Manchester City player to make the team. From PSG, Vitinha earned a spot, while Bayern Munich’s Harry Kane was also included in the prestigious lineup.
