2Face’s Mother Pleads with Natasha Osawaru to Leave Her Son
The mother of Nigerian music legend Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Face, has made an emotional plea, urging Edo State lawmaker Natasha Osawaru to stay away from her son.
In a video that has now gone viral, Mrs. Rose Idibia, visibly distressed, called on Nigerian mothers to step in, saying her son’s behavior has been influenced by the emotional strain of his ongoing divorce from Annie Idibia.
Speaking through tears, she said,
“Good evening, Nigerians. My name is Mrs. Rose Idibia, the mother of 2Face. This message is for Miss Natasha Osawaru of Edo State. I am pleading with all mothers to help me beg her to release my son.
“He is going through a difficult time with his divorce and is not himself right now. I know my son, and this is not him. Please, Natasha, remove the beads you put on his hand and neck and let him go.”

Her plea follows a recent video showing 2Face proposing to Osawaru at a private event, which quickly sparked controversy.
Reacting to the backlash, 2Face took to Instagram to clear the air, stating:
“I’ve seen the false stories going around. Hon. Natasha is not a homewrecker. She had nothing to do with my issues with Annie. I love her and want to marry her.”
Natasha Osawaru, who was elected to represent Egor Constituency in the Edo State House of Assembly in 2023, has yet to respond to Mrs. Idibia’s plea.
The unfolding situation has triggered heated discussions online, with supporters taking sides as the drama continues.
