The House of Representatives has temporarily halted its plenary session in honor of the late Senator Ifeanyi Uba, who passed away during the National Assembly’s annual recess.
In keeping with the Assembly’s tradition, the first sitting following the loss of a federal lawmaker is suspended as a mark of respect. Plenary is set to resume on Wednesday, September 25.
Senator Uba reportedly passed away while in the UK for a medical procedure. He would have turned 53 on September 3.
