Last night, on December 18, Rihanna dazzled at the launch of FENTY x PUMA’s latest collaboration in Hollywood. The “Love on the Brain” singer rocked a stylish ensemble, pairing a cozy fur coat and matching leather jacket with her eye-catching purple Creeper Phatty sneakers.
The event, hosted at NeueHouse on Sunset Boulevard, saw the presence of other notable celebrities, including ASAP Rocky, who arrived 15 minutes earlier and joined Rihanna after she finished her photo sessions and interviews. Evan Ross and model Slick Woods also graced the occasion with their presence.
The Creeper Phatty sneakers, available in three colorways including black and blue, were introduced to the North American market on November 30, followed by a global release on December 1. The revamped classic silhouette boasts enhanced padding on the upper and a trendy chunky brown sole.

Last month, Rihanna revealed her excitement about the reinvention of the OG Creeper, now known as the Creeper Phatty. The singer shared, “We took our OG Creeper and made it bigger and badder. When designing the Creeper Phatty, we wanted to reinvent the OG Creeper that was loved by so many. It’s a classic silhouette that has been missed, so its return had to be bigger.”
The original Creeper had a significant impact, and Rihanna expressed the importance of bringing it back. She noted the universal appeal of the shoe and the overwhelming consumer enthusiasm for its return. Maria Valdes, Chief Product Officer at PUMA, added, “We are excited to not only be able to build upon the existing silhouette with the Creeper Phatty but also expand our offering to the entire family.”
In September, Rihanna resumed her role as the creative director for the footwear company. During the same month, the launch of the football-inspired Avanti sneaker was announced, showcasing her ongoing influence in shaping PUMA’s footwear line.
Having taken a brief hiatus from the brand in 2017, Rihanna focused on her ventures such as Fenty Beauty and Savage x Fenty, while also embracing the role of a mother. With two children, RZA and Riot Rose, shared with ASAP Rocky, Rihanna continues to make a mark both in the fashion world and as a multi-faceted entrepreneur.
