Rihanna appeared on the cover of the March 2023 issue of British Vogue alongside boyfriend A$AP Rocky and her unnamed son.
In the interview, titled “Rihanna Reborn,” the Barbadian singer discusses motherhood, the release date of her new album, and her memorable Super Bowl Halftime Show performance.
When will Rihanna’s new album be released?
Rihanna, whose most recent album, Anti, was released in 2016, revealed that music is once again a priority in her life. She also stated that her new album will be released in 2023: “I’d like to do it this year. It’d be ridiculous if it didn’t happen this year. But I just want to have fun. “All I want to do is make music and videos.”

Rihanna said ahead of her Super Bowl performance at State Farm Stadium that her ninth studio album will be unlike anything she’s done before. “I’m feeling open to exploring, discovering, and creating things that are new, different, odd, and may never make sense to my fans, you know,” she explained.

Rihanna discussed her first nine months as a mother and her second pregnancy. “It’s legendary, to say the least. It encompasses everything. You have no recollection of your previous existence, which is the most bizarre thing ever.”

“The desires, the things you enjoy, everything, you just don’t identify with it because you don’t even allow yourself to get that far mentally because… because it doesn’t matter,” she explained. Her child with A$AP Rocky’s real name has yet to be revealed.

“There’s still a lot of mending to be done in my eyes,” Rihana told British Vogue, “but it’s powerful to break those doors, and have representation at such a high, high, consistent level.” The Barbadian star aldo added she is proud that Hip Hop music was the focus of two consecutive Super Bowls, with Dr. Dre, 50 Cent and more performing in 2022 for SB LVI in Los Angeles.
