The Barbados-born singer will perform her Academy Award-nominated song “Lift Me Up” from “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” at the film industry’s top awards show in Hollywood.
Rihanna will perform at the Oscars next month, organizers announced Thursday, just weeks after making her long-awaited – and clearly pregnant – return at the Super Bowl.
The Barbados-born singer will perform her Academy Award-nominated song “Lift Me Up” from “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” at Hollywood’s biggest awards show.
The song is up against Lady Gaga’s “Hold My Hand” from “Top Gun: Maverick,” as well as the current frontrunner “Naatu Naatu” from the Indian crowd-pleaser “RRR.”

Before performing a career-spanning medley of hits at the NFL’s flagship halftime show earlier this month, Rihanna, 35, had not performed a live show in seven years.
Instead, she has focused on the successful makeup, lingerie, and high-fashion brands that have helped her become a billionaire — as well as raising her first child, a son born in May.
Her new baby bump dominated the conversation at the Super Bowl, with Rihanna’s representatives confirming shortly after the game that she is expecting her second child.
Fans hoping for a preview of the album she’s been hinting at for years were disappointed.
“Lift Me Up” is Rihanna’s first Oscar nomination, despite the fact that she is a nine-time Grammy winner with eight multi-platinum albums.
Jimmy Kimmel will host the 95th Academy Awards on March 12 at Los Angeles’ Dolby Theatre.
