Sergey Lavrov to discuss the range of issues with Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu
On Thursday, Moscow announced that Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will visit Turkey on April 6-7, at the invitation of Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu.
According to Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova, the two ministers intend to discuss a wide range of issues, including the state and prospects of bilateral cooperation in areas of mutual interest such as trade, energy, and tourism.
“A thorough exchange of views will take place on current regional and international agenda issues, such as the current situation in Ukraine, the Syrian and Nagorno-Karabakh settlements, as well as in Central Asia and Afghanistan,” she said.
Lavrov and Cavusoglu will also devise a “scheduled schedule of bilateral contacts at various levels.”
