Fulham has officially signed Sander Berge from Burnley in a deal worth £25 million. The Norwegian international has signed a five-year contract with an option to extend for another year.
The deal includes an initial payment of £20 million, with an additional £5 million in potential bonuses. At 26, Berge, who previously played for Sheffield United before moving to Burnley in 2023, was named Burnley’s player of the year despite their relegation.
Berge expressed his excitement about the move, saying, “It feels fantastic. After a bit of back and forth over the past few weeks, it’s great to finally be here and commit to this club.”
Berge’s transfer is Fulham’s fourth signing of the window, following Emile Smith Rowe, Jorge Cuenca, and Ryan Sessegnon. Despite his 37 appearances for Burnley last season, Berge hasn’t featured in their Championship matches this term.
With 46 caps for Norway, Berge could make his Premier League debut for Fulham against Leicester City on August 24.
