Ghanaian rap icon Sarkodie is making headlines once again, this time for his recent purchase of Highlife star Akwaboah’s “LightHouse Album” at an auction for what seems to be a relatively low price.
Sarkodie, who had previously signed Akwaboah to his SarkCess Music label and collaborated with him on several hit songs, acquired a copy of the album presented on a pen drive, accompanied by a headset, all packaged in a bag. The total cost of the purchase was GhC3,000.
Despite the purchase drawing criticism from some quarters, suggesting that the successful musician should have paid more to support his colleague and signee’s work, Sarkodie responded to the negativity on X with a tweet. In his message, he wrote, “May We All Grow till we want God to take us out.”
May we all grow till we want God to take us out 🙏🏿

This cryptic message has left many fans and observers contemplating Sarkodie’s true intentions. Some interpret it as a subtle response to the criticism, indicating that the ‘Adonai’ rapper’s generosity is guided by his personal beliefs and values rather than external factors.
