Veteran Nollywood actor Segun Arinze has dismissed online rumors suggesting he is unwell and in need of financial assistance.
Speculation about his health began circulating after photos showing him with a frail appearance and a swollen stomach surfaced on social media. However, in a video shared on his Instagram page on Friday, the actor assured fans that he is in good health.
Clarifying the situation, Arinze explained that the viral images were taken on a movie set and do not reflect his actual condition. He also expressed appreciation for the concern shown by his fans, friends, and well-wishers who reached out through calls and messages.
Additionally, he warned the public against falling for fraudulent schemes, emphasizing that no donations should be made on his behalf.
“I sincerely appreciate everyone who checked in on me,” he said. “As you can see, I’m perfectly fine. Those pictures were taken while filming, and unfortunately, some people decided to spread false information.
“I remain committed to my craft and to the industry I love. Thank you all for your support.”
With this statement, Segun Arinze puts an end to the speculation, assuring everyone that he is healthy and still actively contributing to Nollywood.
