Founder of Worldwide Miracle Outreach, Dr. Lawrence Tetteh, shared a remarkable encounter between former President John Mahama and dancehall King, Shatta Wale, aboard a plane.
Lawrence Tetteh recounted the incident that took place during his flight to London on Saturday, April 27, 2024, where he coincidentally found himself seated alongside Shatta Wale and ex-President Mahama.
During a panel discussion on the GTV Breakfast Show, the evangelist revealed that Shatta Wale approached him, seeking assistance in seeking forgiveness from the former president for past derogatory remarks.
“Something remarkable happened on Saturday; I was traveling to London, and coincidentally, former President John Mahama and Shatta Wale were also on the flight. Shatta Wale approached me, expressing his remorse for past comments he made about former President Mahama,” Lawrence Tetteh explained.
He described the touching moment when Shatta Wale, in tears, knelt before former President Mahama, who warmly received him and forgave him for his past actions.
“Former President Mahama graciously forgave him and even joked, ‘Shatta, you are a bad boy. You brought a man of God to do this; what do you expect me to say?'” Lawrence Tetteh added.
Following the encounter, Lawrence Tetteh received a heartfelt message from Shatta Wale, expressing gratitude for facilitating a reconciliation that had eluded him for years.
“Shatta Wale’s humility and gratitude were evident, and he thanked me for assisting him in achieving something he had struggled with for over four years,” Lawrence Tetteh remarked.
While commending Shatta Wale’s gesture, Lawrence Tetteh emphasized the importance of Ghanaians honoring and respecting their leaders.
