Snoop Dogg borrowed a typewriter in his early rap writing days to jot down his lyrics.
On an episode of The 85 South Comedy Show, the US rapper revealed his unusual writing instrument.
He revealed to the hosts that he used to borrow a typewriter from 2Scoops of the G-funk band The Dove Shack. Snoop Dogg said he had tried getting his words down on paper, but “I would lose my s***”.
Noticing 2Scoops was “organized and s***”, he concluded he was “just going to type my s*** up”.”I used to type like 65 words a minute,” he added.
The hosts laughed and gasped, with one asking, “Snoop, you wrote raps on a typewriter?” “That’s hilarious,” said another.
Snoop Dogg said he learned to type “at a little white junior high school I went to”.
“I was one of those students who took a wood class, a metal class, typing, and home economics. I took classes that were somewhat unusual.
“I didn’t want to just be in class with the homies and s*** and then go home and get a whooping and get in trouble.”
Snoop Dogg’s appearance on the show comes after Mount Westmoreland’s latest album, Snoop, Cube, 40, $hort, was released. Too $hort, E-40, Ice Cube, and Snoop Dogg are among the members of the group.
Snoop Dogg, real name Calvin Broadus Jr, revealed earlier this year that he had increased the pay of his full-time blunt roller due to inflation.
