Let’s get back to what’s going on in Sudan right now. Despite a 72-hour truce between the army and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF), there have been reports of gunfire in Khartoum.
Sporadic clashes have also been reported in Omdurman, Khartoum’s twin city.
According to local media, the RSF also took control of Wad Banda in West Kordofan state on Tuesday morning.
The RSF has accused the army of violating the truce by “continuing to attack Khartoum with planes” in a series of tweets. The paramilitary group urged the international community to intervene and put pressure on the army to follow the ceasefire terms.

There have also been reports of gunshots inside the Port Sudan prison. According to an army spokesman, the RSF was responsible for “storming prisons.”
Residents in Khartoum claim that the internet has been partially restored. According to NetBlocks, an organization that monitors internet access, connectivity remains intermittent despite the reconnection of state provider Sudatel.
