Spyro Shuts Down Rumors Linking Him to Nengi’s Newborn
Nigerian singer Oludipe Oluwasanmi David, popularly known as Spyro, has dismissed claims that he is the father of Big Brother Naija star Nengi Rebecca Hampson’s baby.
Following Nengi’s recent announcement that she welcomed her first child in February, Spyro shared a congratulatory post on Instagram, expressing his happiness for her. However, his message fueled speculation that he was the child’s father.
Responding to the rumors via his Instagram story, Spyro criticized the assumptions, saying, “Nigerians, very ignorant set. Exactly why the rich get richer and the poor get poorer… But then again, what do I even know? Congratulations again, my Nengs.”
In a separate revelation, the singer disclosed that he is facing threats over an alleged intimate video. He claimed that some religious figures, whom he accused of hypocrisy, were behind the blackmail attempt.
Spyro stated that the threats started after he called out an individual online for misconduct, adding, “The biggest scams and liars are the ones at the top of religious ladders. They quote holy books to justify their actions, but the deception is on another level.”
