Super Eagles caretaker coach Augustine Eguavoen has revealed his starting lineup for the upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Rwanda. After last weekend’s successful match against Benin Republic, Eguavoen has made one key change while sticking with the 3-4-3 formation that proved effective.
Stanley Nwabali will remain as goalkeeper, with a solid central defense composed of captain William Troost-Ekong, Semi Ajayi, and Calvin Bassey. The wing-back positions will be manned by Ola Aina and Bruno Onyemaechi, both returning from their recent roles.
In a notable midfield adjustment, Lazio’s Fisayo Dele-Bashiru will take the place of Alex Iwobi alongside Wilfred Ndidi, signaling a fresh approach to the midfield dynamic.
Up front, Victor Boniface will spearhead the attack, supported by Ademola Lookman and Samuel Chukwueze, all set to leverage their current form.
This strategic lineup change showcases Eguavoen’s tactical flexibility and his focus on securing another vital win as the Super Eagles push towards AFCON qualification.
