A Nicki Minaj and Lil’ Kim Verzuz is still possible.
Swizz Beatz has reignited speculation about a possible collaboration between the hip-hop icons. During his appearance on “The Breakfast Club,” he was asked if fans would be able to see his and Timbaland’s competition series pitting rap rivals against each other.
“I can’t say it yet,” Swizz said, acknowledging that it wasn’t out of the question.
It’s been almost a year since the last Verzuz, which took place in July 2022 with DJ Nelson and Luny Tunes. The series was put on hold due to Swizz and Timbaland’s legal battle with Triller, which was eventually settled.
But Swizz assures that the wait will be worthwhile. “Just know that if you’re going to wait this long for Verzuz, it’s gon’ definitely be worth the time,” he teased. “If people know anything about me, even if I’m being quiet, things are happening.”

Since last year, there has been speculation about Nicki Minaj vs. Lil’ Kim Verzuz. Nicki stated in March 2022 that she would consider a fight. “I believe there may be one or two females,” she told Houston’s 97.9 The Box.
During a conversation with Joe Budden, he suggested that only Kim and Missy Elliott could compete with her. “It’s just Kim and Missy, maybe Lauryn [Hill],” he explained.

Nicki, on the other hand, remained tight-lipped about a potential opponent. “I’m not saying anybody’s name,” she said.
Nicki stated that if she were to participate, she would treat it as a celebration rather than a battle. “I approach those things as a rap fan, not Nicki Minaj,” she explained. “It’s just about if somebody can play their joints and have people reminisce and go crazy.”
