Elon Musk, the CEO of Twitter and SpaceX, is no stranger to controversy, but his recent tweets about Taylor Swift left fans confused and angry. It all started when Dogecoin creator Billy Markus tweeted, “Taylor Swift rules and if you disagree, I’m pretty sure you’ll be kicked off the internet.” Musk responded with a statement that left many puzzled: “Her limbic resonance skill is exceptional.”
What is a limbic? “Libic resonance is a state of deep emotional and physiological connection between two people,” according to PsychMechanics. So, Musk was basically saying that Taylor Swift is great at connecting with people on a deep level.
However, the controversial Twitter CEO did not stop there. He also used a simple cigarette emoji to respond to a tweet from Swift’s official account that featured a four-image collage. Some fans interpreted Musk’s statement to mean that Swift was “smoking” hot. It’s possible, but Musk never confirmed or denied it.
Finally, Musk used a crying laughing emoji to respond to a tweet asking if he and Swift would make a cute couple.
Swifties defend her from ‘inappropriate’ Musk comments
It’s unclear whether he was laughing or just trying to deflect the question, but it didn’t sit well with some Swift fans, who were quick to defend their favorite singer.

Some have even called Musk out for his actions. “Get a job, stay away from her, you creep,” one fan tweeted, while another said, “Don’t ever tweet to Taylor again.”
Musk’s tweets, however, did not enrage all fans. Some thought his remarks were harmless, even amusing. “You just want a breakup song written about you, right?” one user joked. “Taylor’s next album will now be titled ‘Mars,'” said another.
Musk and Swift’s fans exchanged words as the pop star began her highly anticipated Eras Tour in Glendale, Arizona. Swift’s fans are known for their devotion and fierce defense of the singer, so it’s no surprise that Musk’s remarks sparked such outrage on Twitter.
I miss you like it was the very first night. Good thing we’re about to go onstage and do the whole thing again tonight. See you
