The five-year-old duet between Drake and Taylor Swift might eventually be released.
The two allegedly recorded a song for Taylor’s album Reputation back in 2017, but it didn’t make the cut since it was thought to be a jab at Kanye West and Kim Kardashian, two of their common foes.
In a planned re-release of her 2017 album Reputation (Taylor’s Version), Taylor reportedly intends to include their “secret song.”
In addition to re-releasing her older albums with previously unreleased songs, Swift has apparently chosen to include the Drake collaboration on Reputation.
Taylor has shifted her attention to re-recording Reputation and has discovered a song she co-wrote with Drake that was never released, according to a source. She is aware that everyone will assume it has to do with Kimye because of their argument, which gave rise to a lot of Reputation. However, this song is much more straightforward than the others, which is why they initially decided against releasing it.
While Taylor, Drake, and Kanye were at odds, the song was being recorded. Ye and Drake have subsequently made amends.
It’s no secret that Drake and Taylor had rocky romances with Kanye, so when it came to recording, they didn’t hold back, the person continued. Naturally, she is now completely over everything, but fans will want to hear this.
Following the release of his 2016 song “Famous,” which featured the contentious phrase, “I made that bitch famous,” Taylor and Kanye had a falling out.
Taylor has claimed that the lyrics caught her off guard, which led Ye’s then-wife Kim to leak a recording of the two of them talking about it. Taylor denied knowing the precise words, despite Kim and Kanye’s claims to the contrary.
I want a good friendship between us. At the time, Taylor remarked, “He promised to perform the song for me, but he never did. You cannot ‘approve’ a song you haven’t heard, even though I wanted to be Kanye’s fan throughout the phone call. It is character assassination to accuse me of lying when I was never told the complete story or played any portion of the music. Since 2009, I have never asked to be a part of this narrative, and I would very much like to be absent from it.
It’s anticipated that the Reputation remake won’t come out until the following year. First, on October 21, Swift will release her brand-new album, Midnights.
