Temi Otedola and Mr Eazi’s Wedding Outfit Honours Family in the Most Heartfelt Way
For their third traditional wedding outfit, Temi Otedola and Mr Eazi—now officially Mr. and Mrs. Ajibade—gave us a moment that was as emotional as it was breathtaking. The couple teamed up with Lisa Folawiyo Studio to pay tribute to Mr Eazi’s late mother, and the result was nothing short of unforgettable.
What makes this so touching is that before her passing in February, Mr Eazi’s mom, Ifeoma Ajibade, shared photos of how she wanted her cultural heritage to be represented at their wedding. It was her final gift of love and thoughtfulness, and Temi and Eazi carried it out beautifully.
Temi’s connection with designer Lisa Folawiyo runs deep—Lisa was one of the first designers to dress her at the start of her career. So having her create such a meaningful piece felt like a full-circle moment. And the craftsmanship was extraordinary. The dress was made from traditional Akwaocha fabric from Delta State and took over 200 hours of delicate hand-beading and intricate fringework. Every detail spoke volumes.
Mr Eazi’s look perfectly complemented Temi’s. Refined and understated, it carried subtle touches from Lisa Folawiyo that highlighted his personality without overshadowing his bride’s dazzling ensemble.
The most moving part of it all? Temi shared that they felt his mother’s presence throughout the day: “We love you, Mommy Ifeoma Ajibade, and we felt you with us.” It was a wedding fashion moment that reminded everyone watching that style isn’t just about beauty—it’s also about love, memory, and legacy.
