Teyana Taylor adds “Big Energy” to Latto’s creative team.
When she isn’t garnering praise for her acting, the singer has joined Latto’s team as creative director. She and her all-female production company The Aunties worked on both of Latto’s Coachella performances as part of the job.
Teyana made the announcement while posting a behind-the-scenes video from Latto’s Coachella rehearsals, in which she can be seen supervising the choreography and stage design.
“I am truly a proud AUNTEYYYYYYYYYYYYY @latto777 you did ya big one both weekends,” Teyana told Latto. “I am so proud of your development, willingness to be a student in order to improve your craft, and dedication!” I’m really looking forward to working with you as your CD. . 4 shows down together and a lot more to goooooooo! Teyana has previously lent her creative talent to other artists and brands. Under the alias Teyana “Spike Tey” Taylor, she has directed music videos for celebrities such as Diddy, Kehlani, T.I., and Monica.

Teyana announced her retirement from music in December 2020. Meanwhile, her acting career is thriving. She has received critical acclaim for her performance in A Thousand and One, and she is preparing to play Dionne Warwick in a biopic.
She made a surprise appearance on stage during Usher’s Las Vegas residency over the weekend while he performed “Bad Girl.”
