After receiving a personal Christmas message from world-renowned flutist James Galway, music artist Lizzo burst into tears.
In an Instagram story, the “Tempo” singer shared a clip of the 83-year-old Galway playing “We Wish You A Merry Christmas” on his flute before wishing Lizzo a Merry Christmas and describing himself as her “number one fan.”
Following her well-wishes for Galway, the singer, who is also a classically trained flutist, posted a video titled “MY REACTION,” in which she is crying and asking her followers, “Is that f*****g James Galway?”
In 2019, Lizzo said ” that she was inspired to learn the flute at a young age because it was “a very difficult instrument.”

“So, back in fifth grade, I just wanted to be really good. ‘I want to be really good at the flute,’ I said. Everyone else is terrible.’ And it was extremely difficult to excel at it. It’s a difficult instrument to play. I became obsessed with doing well “She stated.
In late September, the Grammy-winning artist made history by playing a 200-year-old flute once owned by former US President James Madison. During a visit to the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C., where the historic instrument is kept, she had the opportunity to play the priceless crystal flute.
Lizzo had a jam-packed 2022. Between a highly successful tour and her latest album, “Special,” which received a Grammy nomination for record of the year, the singer also made a significant purchase: her first home.
The musician called the purchase a “milestone,” adding that she had been sleeping in her car just ten years before.
“Yeah. Whoo! Staying in places, such as people’s rooms and sleeping on their couches, “She stated. “And now on this past tour, which I was blessed to you know, stay in really nice places, but I was still like, ‘I miss my house. I can’t wait to get back into my bed.’ And I thought to myself, ‘This is the first time I’ve ever said this.'”
