Prince William’s family, according to Prince Harry, was more than “glad to lie to protect” him, but they didn’t take care of him.
The Duke of Sussex and his wife, Meghan Markle, are shown in the official teaser for the second half of Netflix’s “Harry & Meghan,” reflecting on their choice to resign from their positions and leave the country for California, referring to their trip out of the UK as a “freedom flight.”
Before the camera pans to Markle, 41, who says, “I wasn’t being thrown to the wolves, I was being fed to the wolves,” Harry, 38, starts, “To watch this institutional gaslighting.”
The royal family was allegedly “practically recruiting people,” according to the teaser, to spread untrue information about the pair.
Harry claims that although they were willing to lie in order to protect his brother, they were never willing, to be honest about us.
The new clip then shows images of the Sussex family, including Archie, 3, and Lilibet, 1, enjoying a happy life in Montecito, where they have now made their home.
It provided us with the opportunity to build the house we had always imagined, according to Markle.
Harry continues, “I’ve always thought that this was a battle worth fighting for. The two defended themselves, saying they never stated that they wished to leave London because of a lack of privacy and protection, despite the trailer’s suggestion to the contrary.
Harry and Markle recently provided the New York Times with a statement through their press secretary, Ashley Hansen, stating that “their statement announcing their choice to pull back talks nothing of privacy and reiterates their desire to continue their roles and public duties.”
Any suggestions to the contrary, the spokeswoman continued, “speak to a key theme of this series.”
The tabloid media has produced a totally false narrative that dominates news coverage and public opinion, despite the fact that they are choosing to communicate their tale on their terms. The information is readily available to them.
The docuseries’ first three episodes aired on December 8, and the next three will be available to stream starting Thursday, December 15.
The first part tracked the couple’s romance, which started after the redheaded royal spotted the American actress on Instagram in 2016 and culminated with his understated marriage proposal in 2017. Meanwhile, the upcoming episodes will discuss Harry and Markle’s shocking departure from the royal family as well as their long-running dispute with William, 40.
