A funeral service for the late rapper from the Migos will be placed on Friday, Nov. 11 at State Farm Arena in Atlanta, less than two weeks after his untimely passing. At the venue, which can hold 20,000 people, thousands of Takeoff’s family, friends, and supporters are anticipated to attend the homegoing.
The services, which start at 1 p.m. and include the New Mercies choir, will be officiated by Rev. Jesse Curney, III, Senior Pastor of New Mercies Christian Church.

According to Curney’s statement to V-103, “I want to remember him as the young guy I watched grow up in the church, who liked being with his family and coming to worship.” It’s family if this was a son, grandson, brother, nephew, or cousin.
Curney also talked about the unfortunate events that led to Takeoff’s demise. I hope this serves as a wake-up call for everyone that our community needs some substantial changes, he said.
The 28-year-old, whose actual name was Kirshnik Kari Ball, was fatally shot on November 1 outside a bowling alley in Houston. His death is the subject of a police investigation, although no suspect has been identified. The shooting also injured Quavo’s helper in addition to two other people.

The hip-hop scene has posted tributes in the wake of the tragedy, including one from Drake, who praised the “famous, unprecedented” Migos MC.
Of course, everyone is aware of how we got started with “Versace,” Drake said. “And from there, a brotherhood was born. I frequently mention that this is one family. My colleagues in the music business are family, not just pals. Therefore, we offer our sincere sympathies. This awful loss affects us all, and it casts a shadow over the industry we so dearly love.
