Daniel Ademinokan Calls Out Stella Damasus Over Divorce Claims
Filmmaker Daniel Ademinokan is setting the record straight after actress Stella Damasus made comments about their past relationship that he says don’t add up.
The two, who tied the knot in 2014 and reportedly split in 2020, have mostly kept their breakup under wraps—until now. In a recently resurfaced interview with Teju Babyface, Damasus shared that she only learned her marriage was over by watching a YouTube video.
“I consider myself a respectful person,” she said in the clip. “But it was on YouTube that I discovered my marriage had ended.”
That didn’t sit well with Ademinokan, who responded with a string of posts on Instagram, accusing Stella of twisting the story and using his name to push a false narrative.
He didn’t hold back.
“Let’s get something clear,” he began. “It’s been five years since we separated and three since the divorce. Yet somehow, I keep popping up in your storyline. I’ve kept quiet, but that doesn’t mean I’ve forgotten.”
The director insisted he had stayed silent out of respect—not guilt—and hinted that he’s had enough of what he calls fiction. According to him, Damasus wasn’t blindsided by the divorce at all—she actually filed for it herself.
“You said you found out on YouTube? That’s not just wrong—it’s a lie,” he wrote. “You claimed I sent you papers you knew nothing about? Another lie. You do know court records are public, right?”
He ended his post with a clear warning: “Pick your next tale wisely. I came with receipts.”
As of now, Stella Damasus has not responded to Ademinokan’s comments.
