President Tinubu Appoints Didi Walson-Jack as New Head of Civil Service
President Bola Tinubu has appointed Didi Esther Walson-Jack as the new Head of the Civil Service of the Federation. The announcement was made by Presidential spokesman Ajuri Ngelale, stating that Walson-Jack’s appointment will commence on August 14, 2024.
Walson-Jack, who has been a Federal Permanent Secretary since 2017, has served in various ministries. She will be succeeding Dr. Folasade Yemi-Esan, who is set to retire on August 13, 2024.
In his statement, President Tinubu expressed gratitude to Dr. Yemi-Esan for her dedicated service. He also encouraged the incoming Head of Service to approach her new role with innovation, integrity, and strict adherence to the regulations governing the Civil Service.
