Tinubu acknowledged the initial resistance encountered when strengthening systems to prevent malfeasance but underscored the transformative power of technology in combating fraud and irregularities.
Drawing from his experience as the governor of Lagos State, Tinubu highlighted how technology was instrumental in enhancing the state’s revenue base, transforming tax collection processes, and promoting efficiency.
Gates discussed a one-identity technological platform for data integration, emphasizing the importance of data harmonization for planning, security, and tax efficiency.
He highlighted the benefits of MOSIP ID in enhancing payment efficiency, bank account access, and tax collection, expressing confidence in Nigeria’s ability to manage such technological systems given its pool of talented youths.
Gates also discussed the potential of high-yield seeds to boost productivity and nutrition across Nigeria, emphasizing their safety and the importance of supporting the Minister of Agriculture’s efforts in this regard.
