President Bola Tinubu is slated to visit Ondo State for a condolence trip to the family of the late Governor Rotimi Akeredolu, showcasing a profound gesture of solidarity and respect from the nation’s leader.
The visit to Owo, the hometown of the late governor’s family, is part of the President’s schedule aimed at paying homage and offering condolences over the recent loss.
After meeting the Akeredolu family, President Tinubu is planned to have an audience with the Olowo of Owo Kingdom, Oba Ajibade Ogunoye, reinforcing the traditional ties and demonstrating the government’s solidarity with the community during this mourning period.
The President’s itinerary extends to Akure, the state capital, where he is slated to visit the national leader of the pan-Yoruba socio-political organization, Afenifere, Chief Reuben Fasoranti.
Accompanied by the state governor, Mr. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, alongside national and state leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC), President Tinubu’s visit underscores the significance of unity and empathy within the political sphere.
In anticipation of the President’s arrival, security measures have been intensified in both Akure and Owo communities, with a substantial deployment of armed security personnel to ensure safety and order.
