It has been determined that Megan Thee Stallion was shot by Tory Lanez.
Lanez, real name Daystar Peterson, was found guilty on Friday of all three offenses brought against him: reckless discharge of a firearm, carrying a loaded, unlicensed firearm in a moving vehicle, and assault with a semiautomatic handgun.
After almost seven hours of discussion and a trial that lasted almost two weeks, the jury returned a verdict. After the two departed Kylie Jenner’s party in July 2020, Lanez was accused of shooting the “Savage” rapper. Lanez had entered a not-guilty plea.
While Sonstar Peterson, Lanez’s father, got up and yelled at the judge and the prosecution as the verdict was read, Lanez remained still.
He responded, “The legal system is terrible, and God will judge you. His family members were encircled by deputies as they led them from the courthouse.
Tory’s father protested the verdict in front of the court.
He then singled out “the whole rotten system at Roc Nation,” which included JAY-Z and CEO Desiree Perez, as well as Megan’s attorney, Alex Spiro, as the “greatest miscarriage of justice that this world has ever seen.”

JAY-Z was referred to by Peterson as “you who say you rose from the dirt, yet you have traded and bartered the souls of young men and you’re still doing it.”
He added as the crowd screamed “Free Tory,” “I’m calling on all of the Umbrellas, I’m calling on everybody in this country to begin the rise up because your boys have been done dirty.”
He continued by asserting that Roc Nation was responsible for Tory’s conviction. You evil witch, you rat, because my kid refused to sign a Roc Nation contract with [JAY-Z] and Desiree Perez.
The defense team for Tory intends to appeal the decision. George Mgdesyan, the attorney for Lanez, said, “We are astonished by the verdict. “The evidence was insufficient to convict Mr. Peterson. We think there is still room for skepticism in this case. All potential alternatives, including an appeal, will be investigated.
Tory Lanez’s lawyer George Mgdesyan just released a statement:
“We are shocked by the verdict. There was not sufficient evidence to convict Mr. Peterson. We believe this case was not proven beyond a reasonable doubt. We will be exploring all options including an appeal.”

Megan has not yet responded to the decision, but Alex Spiro, Megan’s attorney, issued the following statement: “The jury got it right. I’m glad Meg has received justice.
Lanez, who had previously been under house arrest, was hauled into prison right away. He might serve up to 22 years and 8 months in prison and be sent back to his native Canada. The sentencing date is set for January 27.
