CBS has just announced that Travis Scott and Burna Boy will be joining the lineup of performers for the 2024 Grammy Awards. This exciting revelation was shared during the fourth quarter of the NFL game between Kansas City and Buffalo on Sunday, January 21.
Travis Scott is in the running for Best Rap Album with his latest release, UTOPIA. This comes after a previous nomination in the same category for his 2018 project, ASTROWORLD. Despite accumulating a total of 10 nominations, Scott is yet to secure a win.
UTOPIA, which debuted in July 2023, features 19 songs, including the pre-release “K-POP” with The Weeknd and Bad Bunny. The album also boasts collaborations with Drake, Future, Beyoncé, Playboi Carti, 21 Savage, Young Thug, and Kid Cudi. Notably, “MODERN JAM,” “HYAENA,” and “TOPIA TWINS” have accompanying visual elements.
Presently on the second leg of his “UTOPIA: CIRCUS MAXIMUS TOUR,” Travis Scott has Veeze, Babyface Ray, and Skilla Baby as opening acts. The Houston rapper’s setlist includes standout tracks like “THANK GOD,” “SIRENS,” and “FE!N.” An interesting tidbit: “FE!N” was played 10 times consecutively at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn in December 2023.

In a different vein, Burna Boy clinched the Best Global Music Album award for Twice as Tall in 2021. Fast forward to the 2024 ceremony, and he’s earned nominations in four categories: Best Global Music Album (I Told Them…), Best African Music Performance (“City Boys”), Best Global Music Performance (“Alone”), and Best Melodic Rap Performance (“Sittin’ on Top of the World” featuring 21 Savage).
Mark your calendars for the Grammy Awards on Feb. 4, running from 8:00 to 11:30 p.m. ET. Hosting the event for the fourth consecutive year is the witty Trevor Noah.
As previously reported, SZA is a front-runner with nine nominations for her chart-topping album, SOS. Notably, “Kill Bill” is also in the running for Song of the Year. The roster of nominated artists is diverse and includes names like Lil Durk, Coi Leray, Victoria Monét, Ice Spice, Diddy, Drake, and Doja Cat.
