Volodymyr Zelensky, the president of Ukraine, has discussed issues with William Ruto, the president of Kenya.
The Ukrainian president said in a tweet that they spoke about food security and the humanitarian Grain from Ukraine initiative, which aims to deliver Ukrainian grain to nations with severe food shortages.
They decided to strengthen their cooperation, according to Mr. Zelensky, and discussed the establishment of grain hubs in Africa.
The conflict in his nation that started following the Russian invasion in February of last year was acknowledged by the Kenyan president, who also commended Kenya for its assistance and “constructive cooperation at the UN.”
The Kenyan presidency has made no statement about the Thursday talks. Kenya expressed its opposition to the Russian invasion in a speech to the United Nations Security Council shortly after the war began. Mr. Ruto stated in September that he was committed to playing a leading collaborative role at the global level in resolving the Ukrainian crisis.
