Queen Camilla Reveals Health Struggles Following Pneumonia Bout
Queen Camilla, wife of King Charles III, shared with guests at Buckingham Palace that a recent case of pneumonia had forced her to step back from several royal engagements. The 77-year-old made the remarks during a reception for the state visit of Qatar’s emir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, as reported by UK media.
Camilla’s illness caused her to miss the Remembrance Day events last month. While she resumed duties on November 12, she has chosen to forgo outdoor activities during the two-day Qatari state visit due to lingering fatigue.
A royal insider explained, “She’s no longer coughing, but the aftermath of the infection has left her dealing with extreme bouts of tiredness.”
This marks another chapter in recent health challenges for the royal family. Catherine, Princess of Wales, recently returned to public life after completing chemotherapy for a cancer diagnosis announced in March.
Additionally, King Charles has been receiving treatment for an undisclosed cancer. Although he has resumed some duties, including a tour of Australia and Samoa, his public appearances remain limited as he continues treatment.
The royal family’s resilience has been evident despite these challenges, with each member slowly easing back into their responsibilities.
