Unreleased Beyoncé Music Stolen in Atlanta Car Break-In
A troubling security breach rocked Beyoncé’s camp last week after unreleased tracks and show materials were stolen from a rental car in Atlanta—just days before the city’s leg of her Cowboy Carter tour.
According to a police report filed Monday, the theft took place on July 8 and involved drives belonging to Beyoncé’s longtime choreographer, Christopher Grant, and a dancer. Grant told police he returned to find the back window of the rental car shattered and several bags missing.
Among the stolen items were hard drives loaded with watermarked and unreleased music, detailed performance notes, past and upcoming setlists, and show footage—some of which was planned for future tour stops. An Apple MacBook, designer clothing, and a pair of headphones were also taken.

Authorities attempted to trace the MacBook and headphones to a nearby location where they pinged, but there’s no indication yet that any of the items have been recovered.
Atlanta Police say a warrant has been issued for a suspect, whose identity hasn’t been made public. As of now, the individual remains at large.
The incident unfolded just before Beyoncé launched her Atlanta shows—a four-night run that ended Monday—as part of her Cowboy Carter tour. The tour follows the release of her 2024 Grammy-winning country-inspired album, which marked a bold shift in sound and spotlighted the often-overlooked legacy of Black artists in the country genre.
With only two performances left in Las Vegas later this July, the tour is winding down, but the investigation into the theft is far from over.
