US rapper Kanye West has reportedly made an unexpected visit to Moscow, according to Russian media on Sunday, citing renowned producer Yana Rudkovskaya.
Since the onset of Russia’s actions in Ukraine, Western artists have largely avoided performing in Russia, leading to significant sanctions from the US and Europe, as well as travel restrictions. Despite this, Kanye West, known for his controversial political statements and recent allegations of praising Adolf Hitler, has previously expressed admiration for Russian President Vladimir Putin.
“Kanye West is already in Moscow! This is great news, he is staying in the heart of the capital,” Rudkovskaya shared on social media, as reported by the state-run TASS news agency.
This announcement comes after speculation last month about West performing a concert in Moscow. However, Luzhniki Stadium, the rumored venue for his performance, has stated that they have no information regarding any upcoming concerts by the rapper.
