Usher still wants to play in the Super Bowl.
Despite his legendary career, the R&B icon has never headlined a halftime show, but he’ll be ready when the chance arises. He was asked if he would perform at the Super Bowl during an interview with “Access Hollywood’s” Scott Evans.
“I’d be a fool to say no,” he admitted. “If everything falls into place as we all hope, that moment will come one day.” I’ve previously had the opportunity to grace the stage in support of ‘OMG’ with will.”I am, but only for a moment.”
Usher previously appeared on the Super Bowl stage in 2011, when he performed “OMG” with the Black Eyed Peas at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
“I think I have a catalog that obviously speaks for itself, so to be able to celebrate on that day, obviously it’s about football, but everybody really anticipates the performance,” he added. “Seeing Michael Jackson perform, and more recently, Snoop [Dogg] and [Dr.] Dre and all of them perform, seeing so many incredible performances like Prince.” It’s always been on my “bucket list.”

Usher expressed confusion about how to make it happen, to which Evans responded that he was manifesting it by putting it out there.
It’s unclear whether or not an Usher Super Bowl will take place. He retweeted a headline with the words “I’m willing to wait for it” and a winking emoji.
Until then, you can catch Usher live at his “My Way” residency in Las Vegas, which runs through October. Next month, he will also headline the Lovers & Friends festival.
Rihanna performed at this year’s halftime show, which was the second-most watched of all time. The NFL usually announces the performer for the following season in the fall.
