Napoli forward Victor Osimhen has said he would rather move to play in MLS than to play in the Saudi Pro League if offered the “same conditions”. He got some good offer from Saudi giant Al Hilal this summer that was reportedly rejected by his club Napoli.
He was asked in a interview by Emiliano Viviano and former Italy and and inter Milan forward Mario Balotelli, to choose between MLS and Saudi pro league he said: “if I should pick one, I will go to MLS.
However, Osimhen admitted that the Pro League is really improving now since the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, 2022 Ballon d’or winner Karim Benzema, and Brazilian international Neymar Jr joined them. But he will prefer to play in the major league soccer MSL than Saudi pro league.
“They are trying to develop their league, which is good. One [Ronaldo] of the greatest of all time has gone there. Because of his [Ronaldo’s] influence, they have signed a lot of talented young players to continue their careers there. So for me it’s really good, they are trying to make a mark and put their league into a top rank and also make it one of the best in world football. For me they are really doing a great and excellent job.”
