Chilling Testimony Paints Disturbing Picture of Sean Combs in Ongoing Trial
A woman took the stand in a New York courtroom on Wednesday, recounting a terrifying encounter with music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs. Her voice steady but emotional, Bryana Bongolan described the night she says Combs held her over a 17th-floor balcony before throwing her onto a piece of furniture inside the apartment.
At the time, she had been staying with a friend — singer Casandra “Cassie” Ventura — who previously shared her own painful account of abuse tied to the same man. Bongolan recalled that Combs stormed into the apartment, cornered her on the balcony, and shouted accusations she couldn’t understand. “He kept yelling that I knew what I did,” she said, “but I didn’t.”
That wasn’t the only incident she remembered. During another visit, she claimed she saw Combs throw a knife at Ventura — who allegedly threw it right back at him. Despite the violence, Bongolan said she never went to the police. “I was just scared of Puff,” she admitted, using a familiar nickname for the producer.
The courtroom was tense as defense attorneys challenged her memory and credibility. Combs’ legal team questioned her drug use and suggested that she and Ventura coordinated their claims as part of separate lawsuits filed against him.
Still, Bongolan said her decision to come forward was rooted in a need to be heard: “I just wanted justice for what happened to me.” She shared that the ordeal left her battling trauma, including panic episodes and sleep disruptions. “Sometimes I scream in my sleep,” she told the jury.
Combs’ legal team, led by attorney Nicole Westmoreland, pressed hard, implying her memories were unreliable and shaped by substance use. The line of questioning will continue when court resumes Thursday.
Later in the trial, another witness — identified only as Jane — is expected to give crucial testimony related to one of the sex trafficking charges Combs faces.
More Allegations Surface: Money, Silence, and Hidden Footage
The case continues to unravel layers of disturbing accusations. Combs, 55, is facing serious federal charges, including sex trafficking and racketeering, with a possible life sentence if convicted.
Earlier this week, a hotel security officer described being approached to hand over surveillance footage of a violent incident involving Combs and Ventura. Eddy Garcia, testifying under immunity, said he initially refused to release the video, but after persistent calls — some directly from Combs — he agreed, ultimately receiving $100,000 in cash packed inside a brown paper bag.
“I got a call from him personally,” Garcia said. “After I handed over the tape, he told me, ‘Eddy, my angel, I knew you could help.’”
According to Garcia, his supervisor approved the exchange and also took a portion of the cash. Garcia said he later signed a non-disclosure agreement about the transaction.
Just days before, a former assistant using the name Mia told jurors about violence she says she witnessed firsthand — including moments Combs physically assaulted Ventura in her presence.
With the trial now deep into its fourth week, testimony has included former employees, law enforcement officials, and individuals who say they were victims of abuse tied to Combs’ inner circle.
The proceedings are expected to stretch through the summer as the courtroom continues to unpack what prosecutors are calling a pattern of control, coercion, and violence that spanned years.
