Young Thug’s brother has been arrested yet again.
Quantavious Grier, alias Unfoonk, was arrested on a gun charge just months after pleading guilty in the YSL RICO case.
According to WSB-TV, the rapper was booked into the Fulton County Jail on Thursday on charges of possessing a firearm by a convicted felon, engaging in illegal activity with persons associated with a criminal street gang, and minor traffic violations.
Unfoonk was sentenced to 12 years in prison as part of his negotiated guilty plea, with two years commuted to time served and ten years probation. He must also complete 750 hours of community service, adhere to a curfew of 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., and refrain from carrying a gun.
Furthermore, Unfoonk is not permitted to speak with Thug or any of the other co-defendants. He must testify if called, but he may invoke his Fifth Amendment right.
Unfoonk is one of eight defendants who took a plea deal in the months leading up to trial, including Gunna. Unfoonk responded to those who called him a snitch after being released from jail.
“Damn people really think I told on my own brother smh,” he said on Instagram. “Show me in my paperwork where I told on anybody lol, I’m not even fenna entertain any of it, peace and blessings.”
Jury selection for the remaining 14 defendants, including Thug, began earlier this year.
