Innocent Idibia, widely known as 2Baba, recently opened up about the women who have played major roles in his life—and it’s clear he holds them in high regard.
During a chat on a South African podcast hosted by Nigerian media personality Nedu Wazobia, the iconic singer spoke warmly about his children’s mothers: Sunmbo Adeoye, Pero Adeniyi, his former wife Annie Macaulay, and his current partner, Natasha Osawaru.
“They’re all amazing women,” 2Baba said in a clip that’s now circulating online. “But my biggest focus has always been my kids.”
His comments come just months after he confirmed the end of his marriage to Annie in January, followed by the public reveal of his relationship with Natasha, a lawmaker from Edo State—a move that stirred mixed reactions online.
Beyond the headlines about his personal life, 2Baba has also been vocal about an issue close to his heart: the ongoing violence in his home state of Benue.
Recently, he took to Instagram to express heartbreak over the brutal attacks on communities in Yelewata and Daudu, where armed men stormed villages and opened fire on innocent residents, including displaced persons sleeping in market stalls.
“These killings have gone beyond statements and condemnation,” 2Baba wrote. “My heart is heavy. This is a national crisis. It’s time for real action.”
According to reports, the coordinated attacks left many dead and overwhelmed both local youth and police trying to defend the communities. The violence, which reportedly came from two fronts, lasted through the night without intervention.
For 2Baba, the message is clear—while his personal life may grab headlines, the pain in his homeland remains his deepest concern.
