2Baba Lands New Role as Technical Adviser to Benue State Governor
Innocent “2Baba” Idibia has once again made headlines, this time for stepping into a leadership role beyond music. The award-winning artist has been appointed Technical Adviser on Entertainment and Community Outreach by Benue State Governor, Hyacinth Alia.
The announcement came during a recent meeting where Governor Alia praised 2Baba’s lasting impact on both his home state and the Nigerian entertainment scene.
“Once you hear 2Face, people start dancing—even before the music starts,” the governor said with a smile. “We are proud of all you’ve done, and we believe you can do even more.”
He went on to share that the appointment would see 2Baba working closely with the government to uplift communities and guide young talents across the state.
“We want to tap into your wisdom and your experience,” Governor Alia added. “Your new role will help us chart a brighter path for entertainment and community growth.”
2Baba’s new appointment comes amid a season of personal change. Earlier this year, he confirmed his separation from actress Annie Idibia. Not long after, he announced his engagement to Natasha Osawaru, a legislator from Edo State.
While his personal life has sparked conversation, 2Baba’s reputation as a pioneer in music, advocacy, and philanthropy remains strong. His new role signals a deeper commitment to giving back to his roots and inspiring the next generation.
