Speed Darlington Speaks Out After Release, Sends Message to Burna Boy
Nigerian singer Speed Darlington has shared his thoughts on perseverance, stating that stepping back doesn’t mean retreating in a fight.
Darlington, known for his outspoken nature, was recently at the center of controversy following allegations of cyberstalking and remarks about Burna Boy’s Grammy win, which he attributed to connections with rapper Diddy.
Diddy, currently embroiled in legal battles over serious allegations, was mentioned in Darlington’s claims.
Legal Troubles and Detainment
After being released on bail in October, Darlington vowed to continue voicing his grievances against Burna Boy unless compensated. However, during a performance in Imo State on November 27, 2024, he was rearrested and detained at Kuje prison for over two months before his release on January 21, 2025.
Burna Boy’s Warning
Following Darlington’s release, Burna Boy addressed him via Instagram, cautioning him against further provocations. The artist wrote, “If you like misbehave again, you’ll go back to where you came from! And this time, no mercy!”
Darlington’s Response
Undeterred, Darlington took to Instagram on Thursday, sharing a video of two rams locking horns in a fierce battle. Drawing a parallel to his situation, he stated, “I’m back. To those fighting, one step back is not running away. It’s gathering energy to come back stronger!”
The saga between these two artists continues to unfold, keeping fans and followers engaged in the drama.
