China Challenges US Tariffs at WTO
Beijing has taken action against recent tariff hikes imposed by the United States, filing an official complaint with the World Trade Organization (WTO) to safeguard its economic interests.
China’s Ministry of Commerce confirmed the move on Tuesday, stating that the case was submitted under the WTO dispute resolution framework. The ministry criticized the US tariffs, calling them unfair and harmful to trade relations.
According to the statement, China views these measures as unjustified and is determined to defend its rights through established international channels.
This latest development adds to ongoing tensions between the two economic giants, with trade policies remaining a key point of contention.
