Edo State just added a new name to its leadership team—and it’s a familiar face.
Governor Monday Okpebholo has appointed Munirat Antoinette Lecky, popularly known as Anto Lecky, as his Senior Special Assistant on Tourism and Creative Economy. The news was confirmed through an official letter signed by Secretary to the State Government, Umar Musa Ikhilor, with the appointment effective from June 23, 2025.
The letter warmly congratulated Anto, stating that her role and benefits would follow the established public service guidelines in the state.
Anto isn’t new to the spotlight. Many remember her from Big Brother Naija’s Double Wahala season, where she made it to the semi-finals. But since then, she’s been steadily carving out a solid career behind the scenes in media, project management, and creative leadership.
Before this latest role, she served as Arts and Special Projects Lead at ElectHER, an initiative that champions women’s involvement in governance. She also brought her expertise to the federal level as the Special Assistant on Digital and New Media to the Minister of Steel Development, Prince Shuaibu Audu.
With her blend of media savvy and project management chops, Anto’s new role is one to watch—especially as Edo State continues pushing to spotlight its cultural assets and creative economy.
