This Easter, King Charles III is following tradition. The monarch and his family will celebrate Easter for the first time without Queen Elizabeth II, who died in September at the age of 96.
Charles will be joined by immediate members of the royal family for church service at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle, as he has done in previous years. The monarch will be accompanied by his wife, Camila, Queen Consort.
People report that Prince William and Kate Middleton will be in attendance. It is unknown whether their children, Prince George, 9, Princess Charlotte, 7, and Prince Louis, 5, will attend.
Last year, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge surprised royal watchers when they were joined by Charlotte and George, who wore matching blue outfits.
Last year, the queen did not attend the public Easter service, but Charles did, as well as the traditional Royal Maundy Service.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are expected to miss the event because they are in California.
Charles and Camila began the holiday weekend on Thursday with the traditional Royal Maundy Service at York Minister.

The official Royal Family social media accounts celebrated the one-month countdown to Charles’ coronation on Easter Sunday.
“One month to go!” the accounts wrote alongside a new photograph of Charles and Camila. The official invitations to the ceremony were distributed earlier this week. In addition, it was revealed that George will serve as one of the ceremony’s pages. Jill Biden, the First Lady, has also confirmed that she will travel to the United Kingdom for the occasion.
