Ruth Stanley, the former girlfriend of reality star Bright Chigozie Mbata, popularly known as Bright Morgan, has finally broken her silence after weeks of being mentioned in his post–BBNaija interviews.
Her response came shortly after Bright alleged that she tried to get him disqualified while he was still in the house. Taking to her Instagram stories, Ruth expressed frustration at his constant references to her, saying his repeated comments pushed her to speak out and share more about their relationship.
According to her, the relationship officially ended on August 7, 2025, and she even asked Bright to remove the tattoo of her name from his wrist. To avoid any confusion, she claimed she informed both his family and close friends about the breakup.
Ruth went on to reveal that just a week into their relationship, Bright had asked her for financial support, saying he didn’t have money for food or basic needs. She said she stepped in and continued helping him throughout their time together, stressing that her care was genuine and not an act.
Though she held back on full details, Ruth hinted that the story is “deeper than people think.” She explained that her decision to speak now was a direct response to the accusations Bright made in his latest interview, promising to share everything when the time feels right.
In her words:
“It is not a crime to love someone deeply and genuinely. I am not ashamed to say I loved Bright Morgan, after he made me believe he was sincere. Seven days into our relationship, he asked for financial help because he had no money for food or groceries. I supported him, and that continued throughout our time together. Please don’t be quick to judge until you hear the full story—it’s a lot deeper than you think.”
