Rita Edochie Reacts Strongly to Yinka Theisen’s Drama with May Edochie
Veteran actress Rita Edochie has finally broken her silence—and she didn’t hold back.
In a recent Instagram post, Rita addressed the ongoing tension involving Linc Edochie’s estranged wife, Yinka Theisen, and popular influencer May Edochie. From Rita’s words, it’s clear she’s had a front-row seat to the unfolding drama—and she’s chosen her side.
Rita revealed that she had kept quiet for a reason. According to her, the signs were clear from the beginning that Yinka’s relationship with Linc wasn’t built to last. She described Yinka’s entrance into the Edochie family as hasty and forced, suggesting that such desperation never ends well.
But where things truly took a turn for Rita was when May Edochie became a target. She expressed deep concern about the constant online pressure May faces, particularly from people she believes are trying to break her down emotionally.
Rita condemned Yinka’s decision to publicly share May’s phone number, along with those of Linc and his brothers. She questioned the motive behind such a move, calling it reckless and unnecessary.
“What exactly were you trying to prove?” she asked, adding that May doesn’t even know Yinka personally and has done nothing to deserve the attacks.
Firm in her stance, Rita described herself as a protective mother figure to May, especially when it comes to the online space. She painted a picture of May as someone focused, peaceful, and too busy for petty drama. But she warned that while the Edochie family prefers peace, they are not ones to be pushed around.
“You kept stirring trouble where there was none. Even before you stepped into the home, you were already causing unrest. So what would’ve happened if you had stayed longer?” Rita questioned.
Rita also pointed out the chaos Yinka’s actions brought to the Edochie name, saying her behavior gave trolls more ammunition to target their family. But she ended her message on a confident note, pleased that the dust appears to be settling—for now.
“I’m glad you’ve decided to step back,” she said. “Because if you hadn’t, you would’ve really heard from me. I was just waiting for the right moment.”
