Jumoke George’s Daughter Finally Heading Home After Years in Mali
After four long years, hope is finally on the horizon for Nollywood veteran Jumoke George, as her daughter Adeola is now on her way back to Nigeria.
In an emotional sit-down with Biola Adebayo on the Talk to B podcast, Jumoke opened up about her struggles—her declining health, homelessness, and the pain of not knowing her daughter’s whereabouts.
“I’m exhausted,” she said tearfully. “I don’t have a roof over my head, I’ve been unwell since January, and my daughter’s been missing for years. I need help.”
Shortly after the interview gained attention online, Biola Adebayo took to Instagram with a crucial update—revealing that Adeola has been living in Mali but was unable to return home due to documentation issues.
Thankfully, Jumoke’s cry for help didn’t go unheard. The Nigerian Embassy in Mali and Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM) stepped in to make her return possible.
According to NiDCOM sources, by Friday, May 16, 2025, all the necessary travel arrangements had been finalized. Although Adeola was initially expected back on Sunday, the overland journey from Mali means her arrival has been slightly delayed.
She is now expected to touch down in Nigeria today, Monday, May 19, and will be officially received in Lagos by Dabiri-Erewa and the NiDCOM team.
